On September 12th R&F Property Australia attended a conference hosted by the Chinese Community Council of Australia Victorian Chapter (CCCAV). The conference titled ‘Piercing the Bamboo Ceiling’, brought together professionals from all industries that led the discussion on ways Chinese Australians can break into leadership roles in their chosen fields.
Guest speakers included Jason Li (former Labor Candidate for Bennelong), Gabrielle Chan (Guardian Australia), Alice Wong (Westpac Group), the Honourable Martin Pakula (Victorian Attorney General) as well as many more. Speakers tackled the issue of Chinese Australians finding it difficult to realise their full potential in career development especially in politics, the judiciary and public advocacy.
Following the conference a dinner was held to rejoice the day’s ideas and stimulate further discussion amongst parties. The opening speech was made by the Honourable Daniel Andrews who presented us with a trophy of recognition for our considerable sponsorship efforts.
We were honoured to sponsor what was an inspiring day and evening. We look forward to continued associations with the CCCAV in the future and showing our support for both local and national causes in the future.
