Celebrating new decade in Footscray, the home of Live City
The New Year’s Eve fireworks in Footscray Park is one of the biggest events on the Melbourne calendar and R&F Property Australia was proud to once again be the major sponsor in 2019.
Every New Year’s Eve, on the banks of the iconic Maribyrnong River, Maribyrnong City Council hosts this popular event which features food trucks, on-stage entertainment and an early fireworks display.
For the second year running, R&F Property Australia was the major sponsor of the event, which is a favourite among Footscray residents and families of all ages.
Home to our new Live City development, Footscray was recently ranked 13th in a list of the world’s coolest neighbourhoods compiled by Time Out.
R&F Property Australia State Planning Manager Brad Evans said the group was very proud to be the principal corporate sponsor of the much-loved event for the second consecutive year. “We are excited to be welcoming families of all ages and cultures to celebrate this wonderful event to herald a new decade,” he said.
“Events like this are a great way to celebrate the vibrant and creative local community spirit in Footscray that residents all enjoy so much.”
Live City is Footscray’s $880 million development which, upon completion, will incorporate around 1,450 apartments and townhouses and 10,000 square metres of commercial space, creating a thriving new community in the heart of Footscray.
The development will honour the rich history of Footscray’s past by revitalising historical laneways and heritage buildings at the former 100-year-old Kinnears Ropeworks site.
